Lona

Merlot Riserva Alto Adige DOC

THE peArl

Lona – the popular name for the patron saint of the Church of St. Apollonia – thrives on its surroundings: the vines of the Huberfeld; the warm, clayey subsoil; and the symbolic strength of the little church perched upon the hill. Only a small selection of the finest grapes from the steep slopes around Missian are used for this Merlot Riserva, which glows with the energy it draws from this special location to make Lona a pearl among the wines of St. Pauls.

Winesheet

Intense ruby red color. Powerful on the nose with notes of berries, black pepper and fine licorice. On the palate it is full-bodied, complex with a linear acidity. The soft and velvety tannins support a finish of great persistence.
